The credential
A valuable addition to your résumé.
Your degree shows what you have studied. A professional certificate shows you can apply it at work, and most students graduate without one.
Each program leads to a validated professional certificate issued by the Center for Professional Studies. CPS credentials have been validated by leaders at several Fortune 500 companies, and every certificate carries a credential ID an employer can verify online.

Questions
Who is eligible to enroll?
Your email invitation confirms that you have been made eligible for a program or program category. Follow your invitation’s program link and enrollment details. There are no additional course prerequisites.
How much time will I need?
Plan for around 15 hours of study. The program is entirely online and self-paced, and your enrollment provides four months of access—so you can work around your college schedule.
Will I need to buy software?
You will not need to purchase software to enroll in this program. Any course-specific tools and instructions are explained in the course.
When will I receive my certificate?
Your certificate is issued after you successfully complete the required coursework and assignments. You can add the achievement to your résumé and LinkedIn profile, and employers can verify your certificate record.
What happens after I enroll?
We email your course login as soon as your payment is confirmed, usually within minutes. You can then begin studying at your own pace.
What if the program is not right for me?
You can receive a full refund within 14 days, before program completion.
Is this for academic credit?
No, by design. CPS programs are professional certificate programs completed beside your degree, not courses within it. They award no academic credit, so there is no application, no prerequisite and no registrar. You enroll, complete the program’s requirements at your own pace, and the Center for Professional Studies issues your certificate.
Is CPS part of my university?
The Center for Professional Studies offers focused professional programs designed to complement your studies, with written feedback on your work and a certificate employers can verify. CPS is an independent online learning provider and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with any university. Programs are non-accredited professional development.
